Jerry McLean Bio

Jerry McLean is a missionary, preacher, a husband, father of five, and a follower of Jesus Christ.  He was born in Winter Haven, Florida and grew up in Lake Wales. He was raised in a Christian home. While attending a Sunday school class at the age of 7 he was saved during a Sunday school class. Jerry attended and graduated from a Christian school and in the year 2000 graduated from Bible college with a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology. While in college he served in the Spanish department of his church as a bus captain.

In August of 2000, he married the love of his life, Krissy Alexander.  Jerry then served as a school teacher at a Christian school. In 2002, Jerry and Krissy moved to Gastonia, North Carolina and started Iglesia Bautista Tierra Prometida, the Spanish speaking department of the Promised Land Baptist Church.  Jerry served there as Spanish Pastor for 12 years.

While at Promised Land, Jerry met Evangelist Toru Marshall with N.O.W. Ministries.  He accompanied Toru on a missions trip to Honduras in 2006. Since that time Jerry has been on multiple missions trips to several different countries.  He has seen the effectiveness of working with National Pastors first hand.

Jerry and his family are currently on deputation as missionaries to Latin America.  God has opened an opportunity to plant a church, Bible Institute, and a Seminary in Paraguay.  The Lord has given him a specific plan to work with National pastors and missionaries to establish a legacy in Latin America for God’s glory.
